I've decided that I am going to buy the jewelery I will wear on my wedding day at NightLight Designs. It's a ministry out of Bangkok that hires women who have been freed from the sex slave trade. The women are taught how to make jewelery and given other educational/vocational opportunities.

It may surprise you that today an estimated 27 million women and children are currently slaves. Most of them are trafficked around the world to be used as prostitutes. You can read about this epidemic here and here.
